Stars get get set for their national title bid

Internatio­nal star Bryan Cooper represents the West Lothian Indoor Bowling Club banner in this weekend’s play-down action of the Gents Scottish Singles taking place at Ardrossan.

Super Cooper has a bye into the first round proper and is set to face the champion of Ayr on the 1.30pm session on Saturday.

Balbardie name champion Gary Orr as their as the club’s standard bearer and he opens against Gordon McKenzie of Coatbridge on the 3.30pm session.

The mtach play will continue on Sunday.

West Lothian IBC launch their 2018/19 bid for Premier League glory a week on Saturday and with home carpet advantage have a great chance of getting off to a winning start at the expense of West of Scotland.
