Fans living in dreamland

-

If you’re anything like me, then you’re probably still in dreamland.

I pinch myself every time I look at the league table – what a time it is to be following this club.

On Sunday, we were outnumbered considerably in the stands and the odds were against us on the pitch.

Again and again, though, this team doesn’t care about that and go on to prove we shouldn’t be underestimated.

It was a fantastic win and the 1-0 scoreline actually flattered the away side as we passed up two or three excellent chances, while at the other end of the park, the“Golden Wall”of Gallagher, Halkett and Lithgow were immense as always, ably assisted by those around them.

Four wins and five clean sheets in the opening seven games will no doubt be costing the club a pretty penny in bonuses.

We weren’t given a hope of staying in this league but here we are, joint second and above both Old Firm sides. We’re loving every minute of it – and why shouldn’t we?

Anyone who has followed this club for a while will know the heartache we’ve had to deal with and that just makes this all the more enjoyable.

Is this the best team we’ve ever had at Livingston? You’d be hard pushed to find anyone that would argue against it. They are a great bunch who leave everything on the pitch week in and week out. As a fan, you really can’t ask for more than that.

Next up it’s a trip to Fir Park as we take on Motherwell. We know how tough a game this will be. They have already defeated us in the League Cup this season so we are under no illusions. Everyone will have to be at their best yet again.

This team deserves our backing so let’s get to Motherwell in numbers and get right behind our heroes, just as we have done all season.

It could make all the difference as we aim to make it seven games unbeaten.
