Special tech surgery hosted by local MSP

- Sean O’Neil

angela Constance, snp Msp for almond Valley, hosted a special surgery with digital scotland Broadband and openreach on in Murieston Village Hall, Livingston.

Constituents who had been experiencing problems or has issues with their broadband were able to discuss these with the experts from both digital scotland Broadband and openreach.

angela Constance said: “i’m delighted that digital scotland Broadband and openreach were able to come to this special surgery and talk in detail to constituents who are experiencing broadband issues.“

“there are still areas, including in my almond Valley constituency, which cannot receive broadband or whose connections are too slow for the purposes many people require today and i’m pleased to have been able to bring together constituents and experts to find ways of solving these issues.

“although broadband provision is reserved to the uK government, the scottish government has committed £600 million of investment to ensure that 100 per cent of homes and businesses will be able to access speeds of at least 30Mbps by the end of 2021.

“any other constituents experiencing broadband issues, or who would like to find out more about the schemes that are available to help access superfast broadband now, are very welcome to contact me on angela.constance. msp@parliament.scot and i’ll do what i can to help.”

I’ll do all I can to help
