Cops in attempted murder probe in Craigshill area
Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a man was found badly injured in Livingston.
The 27-year-old victim was found to have suffered serious injuries to his head, neck and hand following an altercation involving a group of men.
The attack took place at a wooded area near Holly Grove, Craigshill, on Monday (October 15) shortly after 4pm.
The Scottish Ambulance Service were called and the man was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police say the attack may be linked to an earlier disturbance involving three men in the Kingfisher Brae area of Ladywell, which took place around 11.45am.
Detective Sergeant Andrew McGhee of Livingston CID issued an appeal for information on the attack.
He said: “We believe that this was a targeted attack and I want to reassure the public that a thorough investigation is currently underway.
“As part of our enquiries into this incident, which we’re treating as attempted murder, we’re urging anyone who may have information of relevance to come forward.”
