Mid Calder Gala Committee are sorry to announce that the Race Night planned to be held in Mid Calder Bowling Club on Saturday 17th November has had to be postponed until the new year. A new date will be announced later. Mid Calder Gala Committee is hosting a Prosecco Afternoon Tea at 2pm on Saturday 24th November in the Black Bull Inn. Enjoy sumptuous sandwiches, scones with a glass of sparkly all for £12! Funds raised for this event go to Mid Calder Children’s Gala. Tickets available from Gala Committee members or on the Gala Facebook page. Kirk of Calder is holding a fun event for families in the Glenalmond Church Hall on Sunday 18th November from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Messy Church is for mums, dads, grandparen­ts and children. Crafts, music, games stories and a light meal are offered free of cost. Mid Calder Community Council hold their monthly meetings on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm in The Glenalmond Church Hall. The next meeting will be Thursday 6th December at 7.30pm. Kirk of Calder Sunday School Sunday Stars and the Mini Kirks meet in the Glenalmond Hall on Sundays from 10.30am till 11.30am. We usually meet in the church to start with, then go down to the hall for songs, games, stories and fun. It could be crafts or singing/dancing - don’t be shy - we need your help. Yoga Classes are held in the Masonic Hall on Wednesday evenings from 7.30 - 9pm. Fairtrade Cafe welcomes anyone who would like to join us on a Tuesday morning between 10am and 12 noon in the Glenalmond Hall where home baking is on sale and all funds raised go to street children of Peru c/o the Vine Trust. Come along and help us to promote fair trade and make new friends. The Fair Trade café is run by the Kirk of Calder.

Clothing bank is situated to the front of the Glenalmond Hall. Please bring any good quality clean clothes, belts, paired shoes, ties, handbags (in a bag) and place in the recycling bank.
