School gets a glowing report

staff as well as the quality of the indoor and outdoor learning environmen­ts in the early learning centre which stimulate children’s learning.

They also praised the effective partnershi­p working to meet the learning needs of all children and the positive culture towards reading which has been developed by staff and that children enjoy and engage confidentl­y in their learning.

The inspection team’s validation of the school’s identified areas for improvemen­t was welcomed. These areas were to develop further opportunit­ies for staff to share effective practice in learning and teaching and to further improve approaches to tracking children’s achievemen­ts.

Armadale Prima r y Seconded Headteache­r Julie Ross said: “As a school we are delighted to receive a positive report from the inspectors at both Education Scotland and Care Inspectora­te.

“We welcome recognitio­n of the good work in the school and we are well placed and well underway in taking the recommenda­tions forward.

“A huge thank you to all the pupils, staff and those from the wider school community who have contribute­d to this positive report.”

Executive councillor for education David Dodds added: “It’s fantastic to see the inspection team recognizin­g the good work taking place at Armadale Primary.

“Congratula­tions to everyone connected with the school, and I’m sure this positive report will be used to help further improve the education experience for all Armadale Primary pupils.”
