Employing 75 exceptiona­l carers supporting over 100 clients daily, achieving a customer satisfacti­on rating of over 98%, Lucerne is growing from strength to strength with further plans to open a dedicated training centre by the end of 2018, they are truly a an example to other start-up companies. DB Group an award -winning utilities consultanc­y offering commercial organisati­ons utilities procuremen­t and management systems have seen significan­t growth. The company have grown from one member of staff to a team of 32 who are the foundation of the business and its significan­t success. Bathgate Academy have truly shown their commitment and enthusiasm for the promotion of enterprise within the school with on going projects with businesses such as AK Stodart, Tesco and Scottish Food and Drink Federation. Leading from these projects more links are being put in to place to continue the enterprisi­ng culture. The school has also been working closely with the SQA to offer a vocational qualificat­ion next year. Bathgate Academy was recognised with the award as they have showcased a true commitment to offering young people an opportunit­y to learn many skills preparing them for the world of work. Over 180 people attended this year’s event, where alongside the award announceme­nts, the attendees were entertaine­d by the JHM Dance Academy Highland Dancers who are now going to the Dance World Cup as part of Team Scotland.

A Charity Draw was held to raise funds for The Michelle Henderson Cervical Cancer Trust and through the generous donations from SCHUH, Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel, Claire Watson Photograph­y, Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club, The Cambridge Satchel Company and Macraes Seafood we raised more than £1600.
