Bathgate Academy have truly shown their commitment and enthusiasm for the promotion of enterprise within the school with on going projects with businesses such as AK Stodart, Tesco and Scottish Food and Drink Federation. Leading from these projects more links are being put in to place to continue the enterprising culture. The school has also been working closely with the SQA to offer a vocational qualification next year. Bathgate Academy was recognised with the award as they have showcased a true commitment to offering young people an opportunity to learn many skills preparing them for the world of work. Over 180 people attended this year’s event, where alongside the award announcements, the attendees were entertained by the JHM Dance Academy Highland Dancers who are now going to the Dance World Cup as part of Team Scotland.
A Charity Draw was held to raise funds for The Michelle Henderson Cervical Cancer Trust and through the generous donations from SCHUH, Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel, Claire Watson Photography, Dalmahoy Hotel and Country Club, The Cambridge Satchel Company and Macraes Seafood we raised more than £1600.
