Events to bring in the new year

- Holiday time

Howden Park Centre will continue their festive events after Christmas with two special events to see in the new year.

The Nicht Afore Ceilidh on December 30 will give the chance to dance the night away with The Gallivanters traditional ceilidh band.

Whether you’re an experienced reeler or a complete novice, the band will play a wide variety of music to get you twirling and reeling, with a caller will lead you through the dances. There will also be a short quiz during the interval and a supper. Put on your dancing shoes and come gallivanting with the Gallivanters! The event will take place on Sunday, December 30, from 7pm to 11.30pm at Studio Space 3.

Tickets are £21.50 and are available from the box office.

On New Year’s Eve there will also be a Hogmanay Party Ceilidh at Howden Park Centre.

Celebrate the New Year in style with traditional dance, food and song.

Live music will be performed by the highly-experienced ceilidh band, The Gallivanters.

Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, traditional (or vegetarian) haggis, neeps and tatties at 9.30pm and sparkling wine at midnight. The band will play until 12.30am and there will also be a short fun quiz.

The ceilidh will take place on Monday, December 31, at 7.30pm for 8pm to 12.30am.

It will be held at Studio Space 3 and tickets are £37.50.
