Funbox arrives in town

Children’s favourites Funbox bring their new show to Livingston next month. ‘Once Upon a Time’will see Anya, Kevin, Gary and Bonzo the Dog (formerly of The Singing Kettle) for a real page turner as they start on the next chapter of their adventures‘Once Upon a Time’. Fe-fi-fo-fum, our keys are gone and there’s worse to come. All your favourite fairytales are going wrong and it’s up to the Funbox gang to make sure everyone lives happily. Packed with singalong favourites like ‘Old King Cole’,‘Ye Canny Shove Yer Granny’ and brand new songs,‘Once Upon a Time’is the perfect story for all the family.

You might even get to help on stage, but only if you’re in the good books.

Come dressed as your favourite storybook character.

The show is staged on Saturday, January 5, at 1pm and 3.30pm and Sunday, January 6, at noon and 3pm. Standard tickets are £14, £52 for a family of four, £11 for groups of 10+ plus one free with 10, £16 parent and child, up to 12mths with no seat allocation. A Christmas Ceilidh is being held on Friday, December 7 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm in Strathbroc­k Church Hall, Uphall. Tickets are £5 (£16 for group of 4) including supper and are available from the church office (856433) or Sheena Carroll (854458). Bathgate Academy is holding its annual Christmas concert on December 19 from 7pm until 9pm. Tickets are priced at £3 and there are refreshmen­ts and raffles etc. This promises to be a great show and not to be missed
