Craigshill Drop In Craigshill’s Drop - In is a new club based at the community wing in Riverside. It was a terrific sight from the top of Langton Road looking down on the flame torches, so glad we had it dry and wind free for the occasion. it was great to see the very small children looking out the windows and coming to the front doors in there PJ’s when we went through Seven Wells. The Christmas Fayre in the Sports Centre raised nearly £900 towards the Gala funds and we must thank our Queen’s Court Committee for all their hard work and also all who baked the goodies that were on sale. Our Gala Queen Cartriona and Champion Matthew did a splendid job of picking out the names for the Queen’s Court 2019. We also need to thank Santa and his Elf “Zoe”, the Sports

Centre Staff for agreeing to stay open until 7.30 to accommodat­e us, and the Bathgate Brass Band for playing all the usual Christmas carols,who this year were sponsored by “Simply Play”/ Thanks also to the Scout Group (Kevin & Sandy) in East Calder for loaning us the Santa’s Sleigh, and to the Driver of the Land Rover (Kevin Baird). Also to all the Volunteer marshals and Christmas Fayre helpers on Sunday night. It was a great Community Event. East Calder Bowling Club Our newly refurbishe­d lounge is now open and there is a noticeboar­d for upcoming Club Bowling/Social events. . Bingo is held on Wednesdays and Sundays from 7-9pm.

Old Folks Club We meet in East Calder Partnershi­p Centre on the last Thursday of the month from September to April from 1.30-3.30pm. Pensioners and non pensioners welcome.

Forget Me Not Cafe The cafe which is held in the Church hall is open the last Thursday of the month from 10-12 noon. Its a meeting place for people with dementia and their carers of all ages. Youth Club We meet in tEast Calder Partnershi­p centre on Fridays from 6.15-8.45pm for ages 10 to 14 years.
