The Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society will also be running Santa boat trips on the Union Canal during December (weather permitting). All trips must be pre-booked, tickets can be booked at the Canal Societies Facebook page or at Eventbrite. Bridge 19-40 Union Canal Society - We are registered charity and are all volunteers. The ever popular Santa Boat Trips will run again this December. Departing from Port Buchan in Broxburn, we’ll cruise along the Union Canal on narrowboat “Bluebell” looking for Santa. If we sing Jingle Bells loudly enough he may spot our boat and come on board to say hello. Fun and refreshmen­ts for everyone and a present from Santa for the children. Choose from the following dates: Saturday December 15 and Sunday, December 16. Four trips each day at: 11am, 12 noon, 1pm or 2pm. Maximum 12 passengers per trip. Drop In to Weigh-and-Go Weigh2Go West Lothian is a free, weekly weigh-in service that provides help and support on losing weight. There is also informatio­n and signpostin­g on what’s on in your area to help you maintain a healthy weight. No appointmen­t is necessary just drop in. Friendship Cafe will be holding their Christmas Tea on Thursday 13th December 2018 from 1.30 to 4pm, in the Community Centre, Dixon Street West Calder. This year we have two Special Raffle Prizes, i.e. 1st prize: a large food hamper worth £40, 2nd prize: 1ltr bottle of Pink Gin. We will also have our usual raffle, so come along and join in the fun, you may be lucky. As always tickets are £2 and payment can be made at the door.
