Three Livingston Athletic Club members have received national callups with Sarah Calvert being selected to represent Great Britain at the European under-20 Championsh­ips.

Isla Calvert and Aidan Brady have both been selected to represent Scotland at the Welsh under-20 Internatio­nal later this month.

Elsewhere, at the Forth Valley Flyers Championsh­ips on Sunday there was a string of impressive results for club members.

Cameron Tweedie, Matthew Power and Finlay Menzies were all on top form. Cameron got gold in the 1500m, silver in the 800m and bronze in the 400m while Matthew got the gold in Shot as well as silver in the 100m and 200m.

Finlay scored gold in 100m and Javelin, silver in 200m and Softball and bronze in 400m.

Livingston athletes were also recently in action at both the CSSAL in Grangemout­h and the YDL in Trafford.

At Trafford, Ricky Arthurs and Lewis MacIver set new 400m personal bests in 52.85 and 53.05 respective­ly with Lewis also setting a new 200m PB of 24.49.

In Grangemout­h there were “A” event wins for Kirsten Bowie ( 200m), Iona McDonald ( 200m), Logan Beagley (1500m), Erin Cameron (shot put) and the under-15 Girls 4x100m team while another 11 athletes set personal bests. They were as follows:

Connor Greenhorn - under-11 boys 600m (2:06.80).

Megan Forrester - under-13 girls long jump (3.50m).

Moray Butler - under-13 boys long jump (4.19m).

Erin Cameron - under-15 girls shot putt (7.64m).

Shannon Evans - under-17 women long jump (3.98m).

Fraser Morris - under-17 men 1500m (4:36.89).

Ross Paterson - under-17 men 1500m, (5:23.45).

Dominic Boyle - under-17 men high jump (1.45m).

Katie Crawford - senior women javelin (12.75m).

Calum McLean - senior men 1500m, (5:03.49).

Matthew Power - senior men high jump (1.50m).

Finally, club coach Bob Douglas was in action in Belfast for the Northern Ireland Masters T& F Championsh­ips and he returned home with gold medals in the M65 category in the 100m, 200m, 400m and shot putt.
