SEAFIELD CAROLINE FRASER 01506-635518 GALA AGM

Seafield Gala AGM will be held on Friday 25th October at 7.30pm in the Youth Café at the rear of Seafield Community Centre.

POP UP LIBRARY

A Pop- Up Library will be open to customers at Seafield Community Centre each Monday from 10am-2pm and Wednesdays from 1-3pm. If you are not already a Library member, please bring 2 forms of ID and you will be able to become a library member.

SENIORS DROP-IN

A Drop-in for Seafield Senior Citizens runs every fortnight in the Youth Café at Seafield Community Centre from 1-3pm. The next meeting will be held on 30th October. Transport is available if required. Come along and join in the activities and have some tea/coffee and a chat with the others attending. COMMUNITY CONNEXIONS

FULL CIRCLE PIPES & DRUM

s is a performanc­e pipe band which provides a high standard of piping and drumming tuition.

We’re now recruiting new beginners and experience­d players to expand our team.

KNIT WITS

The group meet in the Craiginn Centre on Thursday evenings from 6-30 p.m. where people are willing to share their skills with those who are keen to learn knitting or crochet.

WEST LOTHIAN DRUG AND ALCOHOL SERVICES

Family support groups for individual­s who have a family member or friend who suffers from alcohol or substance misuse we work together to develop coping strategies and understand­ing . We have group meetings in the following areas. Livingston on the 1 st and 3 rd Tuesday of the month 7-9.30 p.m. at St Johns Hospital Howden . Broxburn 2 nd and 4 th Tuesday of the month 5.30-7.30 p.m. in Strathbroc­k Partnershi­p Centre entrance B. Blackburn 2 nd and 4 th Thursday of the month 5.307.30 p.m. in Blackburn Partnershi­p Centre . There are Relaxation Therapies available the first meeting of the month. WIDAS also offer 1-1 support if needed.

Raising money for MIND for better health. Join us on Saturday 2 nd November in Armadale Community Centre from 11 a. m till 2 p. m. Make a start on your Christmas shopping or treat yourself browsing our 20 plus stalls offering something for everyone. We,ll also have face painting, balloon modelling, glitter and tattoos and a Candy Floss Cart for the kids, yes that includes you the biggest kids.

OES

On Wednesday 30 th October the OES are to host a Show of Fashion in the Craiginn Centre at 7 p.m. Clothes from Primark,New Look,Top Shop and other brands will be on offer at greatly reduced prices. Cost is £3 which includes a light supper.

will be held in Blackridge Parish Church at 10 a.m. and will be conducted by Rev Richard Darroch. All welcome.

SWI

President Tracy Hill extended a warm welcome to all at the October meeting of the SWI. Routine business was dealt with before presenting various trophies. Margaret Robb for most points throughout the year with Mary McNee runner up. Mary McNee for most points gained at the Federation Show with Elizabeth Pinkerton the runner up.

Tracy then introduced George Bacter from Greenpower who have the Drumduff wind farm locally. He gave some insight into how the turbines are built and work before going on to talk on climate change. All very interestin­g and given a hearty vote of thanks by Eileen Jack on behalf of the group. Competitio­n results were Favourite scarf, 1 st Tracy Hill, 2 nd Margaret Robb and 3 rd Mary McLeod. Recycled item 1 st Margaret Robb and 2 nd Mary McNee. Custard Creams 1 st Annette Penman and 2 nd Margaret Robb.
