Festive entertainers
Evenings of music are set to delight audiences this festive season in Livingston.
The first is Festive Brass with Whitburn Band on December 21.
It’s sure to be a popular evening of light-hearted Christmas music from one of the world’s top brass bands, Whitburn Band. A relaxed evening of classic and current Christmas favourites, this intimate traditional concert is the perfect way to embrace the warmth of Christmas - fun for all the family.
The concert is on Saturday, December 21, at 7.30pm at Howden Park Centre. Tickets are £11 or £9 for concessions.
‘A Swinging Christmas Evening’ will also help kick start the festive period.
Boogie woogie and swing pianist/ vocalist Peter Gill returns once again to the Howden Park Centre with his carefully-selected musician friends to perform an eclectic mix of swing standards, boogie woogie classics and Christmas gems such as‘ White Christmas’, ‘Santa Claus Is Comin To Town’, ‘Winter Wonder land ’,‘ Blue Moon ’,‘ Down The Road Apiece’, ‘Buona Sera’ and ‘Mr Bojangles’.
The event is on Sunday, December 22, at 7.30pm at Howden Park Centre. Tickets are £17 or £15 for concessions.
Popular band Skerryvore are also set to make a return appearance in Livingston.
This year has been Skerryvore’s busiest to date, with multiple visits to performances in USA and Canada, tours in England and Wales and a number of European destinations, and a first visit to Australia.
Following another successful Oban Live in June, the band launched their ‘360’ tour and are delighted to once again add in Howden Park Centre to that itinerary.
A ‘homecoming’ gig for Alec and Fraser in the band, it’s always a lively evening of contemporary Scottish music, and a great way to begin to gear up for the New Year. The concert is on Monday, December 30, at 7.30pm at Howden Park Centre.
Tickets are £21 or £19 for concessions.
