West Lothian Courier

Shopped until we dropped ...

-

Stylish stocking fillers, top tech, luxurious beauty buys, fine fragrances and gorgeous gift sets – shoppers at The Centre, Livingston were busy tracking down the hottest presents when the Courier dropped in just before Christmas.

Six stylish shoppers were selected to share their fabulous new purchases in return for a gift card worth £25, courtesy of The Centre, which can be used in over 90 stores and all restaurants in the shopping centre.

First up on our style radar was Chelsea Ward (32) a wedding coordinator from Bathgate.

When the Street Style Squad caught up with Chelsea she was fitting in a little shopping while her baby boy snoozed in his pram.

She’d just bought a funky pair of statement crocodile earrings from Topshop for £16.50.

Chelsea said: “I’ve got a black tie event coming up so I wanted something that would add an extra dimension to a simple black dress – these are really different so I’m hoping they’ll work with what I’ve got.”

The next lucky shopper was 35-yearold Pamela Conners, a housekeeper from Dunfermline.

Pamela was visiting The Centre with her husband, and with three little ones to buy for before Christmas, she was cramming in as many shops as she could manage.

Pamela said: “My children are aged 14, 12 and nine, so our shopping list is pretty long. I’m going to visit as many stores as possible and possibly stop for a coffee at some point to keep me going.”

The next person to catch our Style Squad’s eye was Kirsten Wishart (43) a receptionist from Livingston.

Kirsten was browsing The Centre looking for a gift for her little girl’s birthday when she spotted a stylish sweatshirt in River Island for £18.

Kirsten said: “My daughter’s birthday is just before Christmas and this will be perfect for the colder weather, it’s so cosy. I love the colour and the contrasting textures with the faux fur sleeves.”

Chloe Coyle (22) a staff nurse from Falkirk, bought a cosy new pair of classic chestnut UGG boots in Schuh.

Chloe said: “I’ve been looking for a new pair of winter boots for a while, I had a pair of these boots year ago and they lasted forever and mum has kindly treated me to a new pair today.”

The Street Style Squad couldn’t wait to check out the purchases of 45-yearold Fiona Grant, from Howden, who picked up a couple of cute charms from the Pandora Me collection by Millie Bobby Brown at Pandora for her daughter.

Fiona said: “The mini charms are really cute – I got one with a little chain of hearts and one sparkling flower – I think she’s going to love them.”

The final stylish shopper was Sharon Manson ( 49) an assistant business improvement district manager from Falkirk.

Sharon had popped to The Centre with her daughter as they both had the day off and fancied a little retail therapy.

As well as treating her daughter to a few new wardrobe additions, Sharon had indulged in a little self gifting with a Christmas Cookie scented Yankee Candle from Clinton’s.

Sharon said: “I’ve bought this fragrance before and it’s lovely and festive.”
