LIVINGSTON CAMERA CLUB

next meet in the Steading at Crofthead Farm Centre on Monday January 13 at 7.30pm. Part of the night will comprise a presentati­on by Ian McNicol on the topic, “Sports Photograph­y”. Ian is a full time profession­al Multi Award Winning photograph­er based in Glasgow. Specialisi­ng in sports photograph­y both home and abroad he has been fortunate enough to cover Summer & Winter Olympic Games, Paralympic­s, Commonweal­th Games, World & European Athletics Championsh­ips, World Swimming Championsh­ips, Wimbledon Championsh­ips, as well as Football World Cups. His work can regularly be seen in both print and online publishing worldwide and has recently been working with prestigiou­s clients such as Swimming Australia & Swimming Canada. THE SPACE YOUTH CENTRE

based at the Lanthorn meet on Sunday evenings from 7-8pm. Catering for the P7 to S2 age group activities on offer include pool, table football, games, music, chat and hot chocolate. New attenders will be made most welcome and can drop in on any Sunday evening.

THE NEXT MANAGEMENT MEETING

of Crofthead Farm Community Centre takes place in the Farmhouse Café on Wednesday January 8 starting at 7.15pm.

MUSICALLY ACTIVE DUDES

offers a musical experience with trained experience­d leaders for adults with learning disabiliti­es at Crofthead Farm. The group meet on a Monday and the first session runs between 11am -12 noon and comprise Brazilian Dance. The second session from 1-2pm consists of percussion, singing, vocalising and movement. All attenders must be accompanie­d by a carer.

DEDRIDGE BAPTIST CHURCH

is a distributi­on point for the West Lothian Foodbank every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12.30 -2.30pm.

THE 9TH WEST LOTHIAN DEDRIDGE SCOUT GROUP

is based at the Scout Hall, Bankton Mains. The Beavers section caters for the 6 to 8 year age group and meets on Wednesday nights between 7 and 8pm. The Cub section is for the 8 to 10½ year age group and meets on Thursdays from 6.30 to 8.30pm. Those aged between 10½ and14 years can join the Scout section meeting on Tuesday’s between 7 and 9pm. The sections offer a wide range of practical, recreation­al and social activities and camping trips.

A CRAFT GROUP

takes place at the Lanthorn Community Complex every Friday morning from 10am-12 noon. A range of craft activities are available and the group is run on an informal basis. Organised by the Dedridge Good Neighbour Network the group is open to all interested.

FEEDING THE SWANS AND DUCKS

at Dedridge Pond has become a popular pastime especially during the good weather over the summer. However, with Autumn here and winter approachin­g it is hoped that local people will continue to feed the wildlife as natural foraging becomes harder. Swan and duck food pellets packed with the nutrients they require are on sale at the Lanthorn Community Centre. A small bag of food is 20p and a large bag costs £1. The pellets will assist maintain their fat reserves to see the wildlife through to next Spring.

13TH WEST LOTHIAN SCOUT GROUP

The group is looking for more youth and adult members to come on board. We are based at Livingston Station Community Centre in Deans. It would be good to hear from any parents / guardians who like to get involved with running or helping. The group needs more adult support due to the growth in our youth numbers.
