WEST CALDER

LORNA GRAHAM CLOVENFORD@YAHOO.CO.UK WEST CALDER MEDICAL CENTRE

all doctors and staff would like to thank their patients for their continued support and understanding during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As you will be aware we had to quickly implement significant changes to our service for the safety of patients and staff.

We have now reached a transitional phase, and are working hard to adapt our service so we can deal with nonurgent medical problems in a more coordinated way hopefully to the benefit of both doctors and patients.

From Monday 22nd June patients will be able to request a call-back from a particular doctor up to 2 weeks in advance. Depending on availability, patients will be able to specify the date and either a morning or afternoon callback. This will allow the GPs to plan their workload better, and provide patients with better continuity of care.

We will keep you informed of further changes as they occur.

Many thanks West Calder Medical Centre LIMEFIELD CHURCH

has reopened the bowling green for limited non-competitive play conforming with Bowls Scotland guidance. Time on the green has to be booked in advance. The club is now preparing for the next phase in the easing of restrictions and we are hoping to have our outside area in use when it is decided that alcohol can be consumed in a beer garden. If and when this happens access will be restricted to members so anyone looking to renew should do so ASAP. We would like to record our appreciation to those bowling members who have paid their fees, indeed our membership has actually increased this season. The club will continue to make more facilities available as restrictions are lifted and ask members to bear with us through these unprecedented times. Anyone requiring information on what is happening at the club should call Brian on 07821 258737. MID CALDER COMMUNITY COUNCIL AND KIRK OF CALDER are working together to achieve positive outcomes during this difficult time and prior to lockdown a leaflet giving full details was delivered to every household in Mid Calder. There has been a great response to the request for volunteers with a lot of help given already with shopping, prescription collections and just general advice. The main contact is Eleanor Blair who can be contacted by email eblair892@btinternet.com or phone 07823328609 SERVICES IN KIRK OF CALDER

CUNNIGAR HOUSE

tenants are frail elderly who are currently like yourselves on lockdown . Most of them are unable to go outside and because of social distancing are also unable to use the communal dining room, lounge and conservatory. My amazing staff are continuing to provide all the care and support they need during this difficult time but I was wondering if you happen to be passing our building during your daily exercise time could you wave into the tenants if you see them at their windows ? If you have any friends or relatives in Cunnigar House you can hand in cards or letters at the front door from 11am - 3pm, they will be taken from you safely or you can email messages to me at Lorraine.
