BLACKBURN UNITED
Veteran midfielder Craig Young has announced his retirement from playing but he will continue to be part of the club’s coaching staff.
Young spent the past four seasons at New Murrayfield Park having previously enjoyed a decade-long association with Broxburn Athletic.
Having started his career as a youth player at both Ross County and Cowdenbeath, the local lad went on to become a key figure in the West Lothian football scene.
Prior to signing with Broxburn, the leftfooted ace had spells at both Harthill Royal and Armadale Thistle.
He had made the move into coaching last term, helping out with Blackburn’s under-20 side and will step up to help manager Mark Campbell and assistant Jamie McCormick at senior level next season.
