Get involved in driving forward National Lorry Week

-

National Lorry Week is coming.

The event runs from November 6 and we’re launching our activities much earlier this year as we look to celebrate the transport and logistics industry, the vital role it plays in our everyday lives and more recently the influence and sheer hard work that our sector has shown to keep our nation going during the most difficult of times.

We’re asking you, the people of our industry, to get involved in supporting the campaign by downloading our social media pack and sharing what makes you proud to work in the logistics sector.

There will also be an opportunity to join webinar discussions on key elements of logistics and a chance for members to provide information about their own success stories.

This campaign is about the industry in its entirety. It will put the spotlight on the huge amount and variety of roles that the sector offers, celebrate all the industry’s hard work and look at members who are adopting innovative technologies and sustainability concepts.

Each week, as part of National Lorry Week, we will be putting the spotlight on one of our members as part of our member focus feature.

This week we meet Ian Barclay, operations director at Roger Warnes Transport Ltd who talks us through his 44 year career.

Over the next 13 weeks we will also be talking with schools and colleges to continue our build on filling the skills gap, encouraging young people and those who may be considering a new challenge to think about joining the next generation of drivers, managers and technicians and so many other roles available in the logistics industry.

National Lorry Week is the perfect opportunity to champion logistics as a vastly innovative, inclusive and sustainable industry, full of amazing opportunities.
