Libraries across West Lothian have begun new services.
Click/Phone and Collect appointment-based services are now available from all 14 West Lothian public libraries.
Customers are able to search, select and reserve up to five items from the entire library catalogue and book appointments at their local library to collect them.
Items in stock will be available for collection from the same library two working days after they are reserved.
Customers can then book a slot to collect and/or return their items using the MYPC booking system.
Step-by-step guides on the processes are available via the libraries section on the West Lothian Council website - https://www. westlothian.gov.uk/libraries.
If customers don’t have access to the internet they can phone their local library to reserve items and book appointments for collections or returns.
There will be no facility to browse the library stock, use PCs, printers, photocopiers or access any other in-house/physical library service at the present time.
Executive councillor for culture and leisure, Dave King, said: “The click and collect service has allowed us to bring back an element of the library service that we know is so important to the lives of many in our communities.
“We’re now pleased to be able to expand this service across all of our libraries”.
“It is very important that everyone continues to follow the guidance set out when either booking or visiting a library.”
