The Mall is now accessible to the public with the following shops accessed from inside the Mall: Boots the Chemist, Birds Unisex Hairdresse­rs, Zabka Polish Store, Adept Tattoo parlour. Monika Vegetable and Fruit Market which also sells homemade bread, pastry, cakes and organic food plus you can drink coffee with a hot dog and pizza baguette.

CRAIGSFARM.

The café is now open again from 9.301.30pm from Monday to Friday for the sale of breakfasts, soups, toasties, panninis and the favourite of a lot of you, chips and cheese! We look forward to seeing you all again and we would welcome your support as a local business trying to survive these difficult times. I hope to see many of you again over the next week and then its our planned Christmas closure so we will be closing on Tuesday December 22 and re-opening on Monday January 4.

Almond Road in Craigshill has now reopened, after the carriagewa­y resurfacin­g works were completed ahead of schedule.

WEST LOTHIAN YOUTH ACTION PROJECT

Growing packs have been put together by the Growing Together team for Letham and Riverside Primary schools. The packs contain everything you would need to grow seeds, plants and bulbs. The children, under supervisio­n of the teacher will be able to grow and care for their own plants for the next 6 months. The seed packs will contain a variety of vegetables including... peas, beans, garlic, onions, lettuce, kale and alpine strawberri­es.

RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY FRIDGE

The Riverside Community Fridge is a free resource open to all in the Craigshill community . The fridge enables us to redistribu­te food which would otherwise go to waste. All kinds of food are available including fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, dairy, processed and longlife foods. We are in Riverside Community Wing, Maree Walk, Craigshill EH54 5BP, open every Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30-12.30. Bring a bag and wear a mask. Contact 431430.

Congratula­tions to the Military Museum, Linburn. This museum which opened in 2017, was awarded Scottish Tourist attraction of the year in 2019 has now been awarded 5* and the accolade of being in the top 3 places to visit in West Lothian. . A huge thanks to all the volunteers, visitors and veterans who have made Military Museum Scotland what it is.

The museum has now reopened again until Wednesday December 23rd inclusive. We will then close for Christmas and reopen again on Tuesday January 5.. (All going well). Lots of new things and collection­s to see.

EAST CALDER COMMUNITY FOOTBALL CLUB

East Calder Football Club is a community football club catering for wide age groups from Soccer Schools,7s,9s and 11s to Amateur. Our 2007s who play in the WLAYFC ‘B’ league are looking to strengthen their squad by adding some more experience­d players.
