CRAIGSFARM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

Craigsfarm, along with all non

essential premises is closed until the new restrictions are lifted. Like many local businesses, 2020 was a difficult one with opening and closing three times, the disruption to the services we offer and the changes that we’ve had to absorb and be as flexible as possible. But we know that other groups in Livingston and West Lothian have kept going and supported our local communities in lots of positive ways.

We’ve been fortunate to receive funding from West Lothian Council, the Scottish Government , the UK Government , Tesco, ASDA, the CoOp Foundation, the Community Fund so that we can continue providing our community café and facilities for as many people as want it. We received another donation from Workflo who provide our IT support and we have so many exciting plans for 2021 to help to reach more in our community, refurbish East Barn and bring it back into community use, to provide craft sessions for under 12’s during the school breaks and hopefully some volunteering and mental health support for people out there struggling with the changes we all face. Ultimately it boils down to keeping our staff team as safe as possible and ensuring our facilities are as safe as we can make them for our customers and users and I feel proud we’ve achieved that during this mad,

mad year!

So to all our customers, users, supporters, funders and anyone who has helped us last year, thank you for your help and support, your time and effort and your good wishes. 2020 was some year and 2021 just has to be better for all of us. We’ll see you all as soon as.
