Livingston South by-election is set for March
The Local Government By-Election to be held in the Livingston South Ward is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 11.

Residents are urged to ensure that they have everything in place to ensure that they can cast their vote.
Eligible voters for the Livingston South Ward of West Lothian have until midnight on Tuesday, February 23, to make sure they are registered to vote in the Livingston South By-Election on Thursday, March 11.
Arrangements are under constant review in accordance with the latest national and local guidance in relation to Covid-19 restrictions and public health guidance. Polling stations will look different on the day and further information on any arrangements will be released in advance of the poll date.
With all of this mind, it is important to take note of the different ways you can cast your vote without attending a polling station on the day.
You can do this by requesting a postal or alternatively a proxy vote where someone else votes in person on your behalf. You can also arrange for someone to cast your vote for you by post (postal proxy vote).
Anyone who is registered to vote can apply to vote by post. Applications for new postal votes (including postal proxy votes) must be made by 5pm on Wednesday, February 24.
Applications for changes to existing postal or proxy votes must be made by 5pm on Wednesday, February 24.
Applications for new proxy votes (except for emergencies) must be made by 5pm on Wednesday, March 3.
