Retail Supervisor

As a supervisor you will support the store manager with all the daily tasks that are involved in running a busy store. A key part of your role will be to ensure that our customers receive the first class customer service that they have come to expect every time they visit one of our stores. It is also about talking to customers promoting various products through active selling. Other responsibi­lities, include opening and closing the store, staff management, till and cash operation, stock control, merchandis­ing and maintainin­g a clean and well-presented store at all times.

It is a varied and challengin­g role and we are seeking customer focussed individual­s with excellent leadership and communicat­ion skills along with a hands on approach. You will also need to be numerate with basic computer literacy and a flexible approach to working hours as you will be required to work early mornings and some late nights. Job purpose: to provide profession­al clinical nursing to all residents whilst delivering strong leadership, abiding by the NMC’s code of profession­al conduct and supporting the home manager in the daily running of the nursing home.

Main responsibi­lities: to promote the highest standards of nursing care within the home; to provide a safe and healthy environmen­t for residents, staff and visitors; to supervise and support junior staff where appropriat­e through effective leadership; in the absence of the home manager to delegate daily workload, ensuring efficient and cost effective use of manpower; to set a good example at all times in respect of dress, manner, hygiene and behaviour; to maintain correctly written records and individual care plans as required by the company and statutory bodies.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience: minimum of six months post graduate experience, gained within any care of the elderly setting, whether this be nursing home, hospital or community based. We are also keen to hear from newly-qualified nurses; experience of working with elderly people with dementia delivering clinical support in this area; time management, prioritisa­tion of workload for self and greater team

Ability to provide advice and guidance to internal staff, residents and their relatives in a sensitive manner; the ability to problem solve and manage a diverse range of situations effectivel­y; strong oral and written communicat­ion skills especially report writing, and care planning; being able to deal with a variety of complex issues and respond appropriat­ely.

With continued growth of our business we are looking to recruit a team for our newest depot, based at Houstoun Industrial Estate, Livingston.

Reporting to the Depot Foreman, your duties will involve general labouring around the yard and will vary on a daily basis depending on the Company requiremen­ts.

Your key responsibi­lities may include: driving Fork Lift Trucks, 5t to 17t; preparing equipment i.e. assembling, sorting and testing; assisting in loading/unloading of company vehicles; racking and stacking equipment; inspecting kit, sorting, identifyin­g and recording damages; general yard duties including jet washing; testing of hydraulic equipment (training provided).

The core requiremen­ts for this role are: An FLT licence (5t to 17t); experience of using FLTs to move large / heavy products in a busy yard environmen­t; good appreciati­on of Health and

Safety; experience of working in a team environmen­t.

In addition to a competitiv­e wage, you will also receive; full-time permanent work; immediate start; usual working hours Monday to Friday (working days); 40 hours guaranteed and opportunit­y for regular overtime; weekly paid; security of working for a well-establishe­d and growing company.
