We’ll be a hub of business again

Chamber of Commerce targeting recovery

-

With the announcement last week of a roadmap, we are all working towards coming out of the current restrictions and looking to start building our businesses back up, recovering from the past year which has dealt some of our members very hard blows while others have managed to discover some positives.

West Lothian Chamber of Commerce are ready to continue our support of the business community at a local, national and international level.

We know recovery is not going to be instant and will take time for the business community to heal from the hard realities of living and working through a worldwide pandemic.

One way in which we can help to facilitate this is by strengthening our network by working collaboratively within the Chamber Network, working with West Lothian Council and partnering with businesses such as our premier partners Morton Fraser and West Lothian College who offer their expertise.

It is imperative that all of us buy into the ‘working together’ approach to create positive opportunities for the future.

Every business, every businessperson has something to offer, we all have areas of expertise and strengths to share. The team at West Lothian Chamber of Commerce are fortunate to have a pool of expertise within our Board who support our activities and offer guidance from behind the scenes.

Our board are ready to use their experiences and knowledge to help West Lothian rebuild, businesses find solutions and offer a sense of community to our network.

Learn about the Chamber Board by visiting: www. wlchamber.com/board/ At the moment it can be hard to feel like part of a community, but we think it is safe to say 2020 and the beginning of this year has shown us all the importance of technology, most importantly social media.

The Chamber has utilized our social media platforms to communicate regularly during the pandemic, to not only provide valuable news, funding updates but reflect on the success and resilience of our businesses.

Usually, we are able to celebrate business excellence each year with our awards ceremony which was celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2020 but instead we showcased our past winners across a week-long campaign to truly celebrate West Lothian as a hub for business.

Not only did this campaign reach the local community but provided a platform for national spotlight on West Lothian.
