MONTHLY CROCHET CLUB

CRAIGSFARM COMMUNITY DEVELOPMEN­T PROJECT

is a charity that has been serving the community since 1969. We hope to be around for well over 50 more, and to help us develop and move forward as an organisati­on we’re looking to take on new board members.

We’re looking for dedicated members of the community that can help us strengthen our community work, expand our operations and assure our sustainabi­lity. These individual­s will

also be able to help us understand the changing environmen­t external to Craigsfarm, be that environmen­tal or political.

We’re particular­ly interested in individual­s who have experience in fundraisin­g, communicat­ions, business developmen­t and governance, but these are not essential for applying.

The new recent evening yoga class was such a hit and a class will now be held on Thursdays

nights from 6.30-7.30pm starting on November 4 in Craigs Farm.

HOBART STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN

STOPPING AND CALMING MEDITATION

This course of 6 weeks will comprise guided practices, group discussion­s and practical exercises.

There will be a maximum group size of 12 people, for a light-hearted and deep exploratio­n of mindfulnes­s together, in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We will teach you how to meditate effortless­ly, so you can ease painful thoughts and emotions; you will also be encouraged to use mindfulnes­s practices to bring joy into your daily life. We hope to teach the course on Thursdays from 1-2pm from November 11 till December 16. Numbers are limited.
