- Jasmin Martin

A care home in Horsham has thanked those who have gone the extra mile to support its residents throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

From members of the community to its dedicated team members, Care UK’s Skylark House, in St Marks Lane, has expressed its gratitude for the consideration and generosity shown by the people of Horsham over the past couple of months.

Individuals and organisations have pulled together to support the older members of the community – from volunteering, to delivering messages and artwork to brighten everyone’s day – and Care UK homes across the country have been overwhelmed by the kind gestures of local people.

Skylark House was inundated with support, receiving flowers in hanging baskets to decorate the home’s garden, as well as treats and Easter chocolates from families and members of the community.

The home also welcomed a number of volunteers who helped digging and weeding the garden.

Team members at Skylark House have also been praised for their unwavering dedication and relentless efforts over the past few months, including baking for a resident’s birthday and keeping the morale up through creative activities, t

Dorota Woloszyn, home manager at Skylark House, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us over the past couple of months, whether that be through sending tokens of appreciation, or by volunteering and donating plants to help take our garden to the next level.

“Every single thought, message and gesture has helped to raise the spirits of our fantastic team and has brightened the days of residents missing their families. It really has kept everyone going.

“On behalf of everyone at Skylark House, thank you so much.”
