Safety first as pier gets ready for reopening

Brighton Palace Pier has detailed all the health and safety measures being put in place as it prepares to open again on July 4.

Remy Haudecoeur, operations manager, promised a wholly safe return.

“This is the first time ever we have been totally closed, so it has been unique, unusual and unwelcome. It means everything to us to be able to open again. We are delighted to be able to welcome our teams safely again and very soon to see our customers.

“We will provide a safe environment, we will provide fun, we will make new memories.

“We will do everything we can to be sure it will be the same for the next generations.

“At Brighton Palace Pier our mission is to create truly memorable experiences and we place the utmost importance on the safety and wellbeing of our guests and employees.

“We have introduced a range of new health and safety measures that will seek to reduce the risk associated with the presence of Covid-19 that are in line with government advice and the requirements of local health authorities
