Extra dates added for drive-in movies

-

Excited film-goers and those desperate to escape the confines of lockdown are rapidly purchasing tickets for the Loxwood Drive–In Movies, with some screenings already sold out and others filling up fast for this American-style film extravaganza.

Commencing on July 9, the excitement is ramping-up as cinema goers from across Sussex book to see a movie classic in the beautiful setting of the Loxwood Meadow.

For many, this will be the first safe outing in several months and with some films such as Rocketman and Grease already selling out once, some additional screenings have already been scheduled.

And, perfect as an end-ofterm treat, tickets are also selling fast for the afternoon family movies, as The Batman Lego Movie, Beauty and the Beast, Cars, Chicken Run and the Goonies are currently coming in as the top favourites, with Despicable Me and Finding Nemo running hot on their heels.

So much more than just a film night, the enormous LED screen with sound being channelled through each car’s stereo system will be showing a 5pm family matinee film in addition to a later 9pm evening film each day from July 9-22.

Food, drinks and confectionery are also available and, as we all know, no American film night would be complete without a large freshly made bucket of popcorn. A popular range of movie-going foods for both adults and children, including a selection of meat or vegetarian burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, soft drinks or alcoholic beverages will be on offer, and a text service will enable moviegoers to place their order from their vehicle.

In addition, cars will be parked in numbered bays a minimum of two metres apart and toilet facilities will also be on hand with all social distancing and hygiene regulations being adhered to.

To avoid disappointment tickets should be booked in advance and for tickets and the full film programme, visit the Loxwood DriveIn Movies website at www. loxwooddriveinmovies.co.uk
