Outdoor training a boost for boxers
Horsham Boxing Club’s boxers are back in training. Although they cannot use the gym, they are training outside and keeping the twometre distancing rule.
Team captains Libby and Madaf are working hard to regain their fitness alongside Marley Boxgrove, Oscar Nickolls, Harry Orsini and Ben Carbone, who are back at the club after a long lay-off.
They are working hard to be ready when the new season begins.
Amy Judge is back after a close points loss in the final of the women’s
Box Cup last season.
The club are hoping that in the near future they will be back in the gym and can start sparring and punching bags.
Head coach Danny Essex said all the team were showing great determination to be training in these circumstances.
“It shows they are dedicated and making sure they are ready for their first bout next season,” he said.
