Campaigngroupsareurging Gatwick Airport to stop nighttimeflights. TheGatwickArea Conservation Campaign (GACC) andCommunities Against Gatwick Noise Emissions (CAGNE) are amonggroupscalling for night flights to bebanned. Thegroupshavewritten to the Aviation Minister in advance of a consultation on the future of night flights expected to bepublished bytheDepartmentfor Transport shortly. Theyare asking for people’s health and welfare to beputfirst. In response aGatwick acknowledged that night flying wasaconcernfor local communities andsaid it wasworkingwiththe Noise ManagementBoard.
