Nick Dunn, 46, said he will be wearing a Santa suit on December 23 and 24 to raise money for Chestnut Tree House.

The Hermes delivery driver fromRoffeysaid: “I just thought with the year we’ve had the kids are not going to get to see Santa.

“It’s been a rubbish year for most people so I just thought I would do something for the kids and I thought I would raise a bit of money.”

Nick hopes to be driving home for Christmas with a big donation for the charity, having already raised more than £800.

He said: “I have never done anything like this before – I’m pleased. Really pleased.

“To see the children’s faces

is just going to be amazing. To see the faces ontheparents as well as the kids. A lot of them are more excited than the kids just to see me dressed up.”

Nick said his Santa Claus will be coming to town with a donation bucket ready to collect more cash while he

is delivering parcels. He said that his daughter Olivia and his friend’s daughter Jaz will be joining him on part of his rounds and that he’s looking forward to his festive fun. Nick added: “I can’t wait.”
