Last call to apply for free business online workshops
Horsham District high -street traders are being urged to step forward and apply for free one-to-one online business advice tailored specifically to their own business needs.
Working to support local businesses through the pandemic and beyond, Horsham District Council has partnered with Solent University and Chichester College Group to provide essential consultancy sessions which would normally cost delegates hundreds of pounds.
The tailored online sessions are completely free, but there are only eight places left and the deadline for applications Friday, February 12.
Commenting on the consultancy opportunities, Horsham District Council cabinet member for finance, the local economy and parking councillor Paul Clarke said: “I am delighted that we have partnered with two such leading education establishments to deliver this key consultancy at this difficult time for local businesses.
“These consultancy sessions are free to attend and will provide just the right skills development and insights, as well as opportunities to discuss new business operating models and emerging high street trends.
“I would encourage as many local traders as possible to sign up before the deadline and reap the benefits.”
The training workshops will run until end March 2021 and can cover a wide range of business skills and be tailored to specific needs and circumstances.
They can include such topics as:
Opening and operating safely in a pandemic
Accessing financial help
Developing an online trading presence Marketing and promotion
Ensuring new business models work effectively
Getting the best value from suppliers.
These workshops form part of an innovative new programme, called the Horsham Market Towns Programme (HMTP) which focusses on enabling businesses to adapt to changing trading conditions and is fully funded by the EU’s Reopening High Streets Safely Fund
