Loxwood hopes for summer 2021
Loxwood Meadow has confirmed a programme of events for this summer, Covid restrictions permitting. Danny Bacon, organiser of the Loxwood Joust, Loxwood Drive-in Movies and the Jazz Gin and Blues music festival, said the mood was “optimistic and excited”. Home to The Loxwood Joust for the past nine years, Loxwood Meadow is hoping to see the festival of mediaeval mayhem return, along with a Jazz, Gin and Blues music festival and the Loxwood Drive-in Movie experience. Danny said: “With full adherence to all Covid guidelines being met, the Loxwood Meadow team are busy once again planning, plotting and creating the stunning backdrop to these well-loved events. “And, when government permission is granted for larger events to resume, the gates can open to welcome friends old and new to experience the magic that is the Loxwood Meadow. “With many outdoor venues already confirming that they will not be going head this year, we have taken a different strategy. We are keeping our fingers crossed and planning ahead to get everything ready to welcome our guests. We understand that people need something to look forward to right now and we hope that by announcing our intentions for this year’s programme of events, we are playing our part in doing that.” Danny added: “Here at the Loxwood Meadow, we are working hard to ensure that all three events will be able to proceed. However, should some restrictions still be in place, we will strictly comply with all Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the safety of our staff and guests. Last year we launched the hugely successful Loxwood Drive-in Movies during the restrictions and are delighted to have another raft of films planned for this summer too.” Loxwood Meadow dates: The Country Brocante – June TBC.
