Ariel Drama set for Horsham move and expansion
Ariel Drama Academies Horsham is expanding.
Horsham Academy principal Ben Simpson said: “Ariel Drama Academies Horsham has grown exponentially since opening its doors in October 2017.
“The academy has gone from strength to strength and this has seen the need for a larger venue. With purpose-built performance spaces, Tanbridge House School provides the perfect location for Ariel Drama Academies Horsham to call their new home. This move is an exciting venture for us. We are really looking forward to partnering with Tanbridge House School and being able to use their brilliant facilities. Our students at the Horsham academy will be able to continue to develop their skills in drama, singing and dance in such fantastic spaces. The move to Tanbridge House also means we will be able to accept more students, furthering the outreach of the great work Ariel continues to do throughout Sussex.
“We are committed to supplying performance opportunities of the highest standard for young people in this area. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdowns, we have seen the vital importance of the work we do within our students’ lives for their social and emotional wellbeing.”
Ariel’s artistic director Nicci Hopson added: “The expansion doesn’t end there. Ariel Drama Academies are excited to be opening a new Othellos group which is an inclusive performing arts class for students with special, additional needs and disabilities at the Horsham Academy from January 2022. This is in recognition of Ariel Drama Academies being shortlisted at The National Diversity Awards. We are honoured to have been selected in the category of community organisations.”
