1-Robert Sanchez- 6

Could do nothing about the West Ham opener, the ball flying into the back of the net before he could react. Had little to do apart from the goal. Dominant in the air, and claimed crosses well.

34-Joel Veltman – 8

Defensively good all game, dealing with Antonio well, limited the striker to just the one chance which unfortunately he scored from, but nothing Veltman could do. Smashed in Brighton’s equaliser, the ball hit with too much force for Fabianski to keep out. An impressive game.

5-Lewis Dunk- 6

Aggrieved with West Ham’s opener, felt he was pushed by Antonio before the West Ham striker smashed the ball into the back of the net. Commanded the defence but on this occasion was outshne by his centre back partners.

4-Adam Webster- 7

Like Veltman, dealt with Antonio well. Was a defensive wall, West Ham unable to get past him. Was also impressive on the ball, showing great composure under pressure.

3-Marc Cucurella- 7

Provided a good attacking outlet on the left, and looked really dangerous throughout. The accuracy of his passing and crossing was incredible. Great work rate, had a good game to finish his great season.

20-Solly March- 7

Provided a threat on the right and produced a nice lay off for Veltman, nudging the ball perfectly into the defenders pass to set up the Seagulls’ equaliser. Showed a good willingness to get forwards.

8-Yves Bissouma- 5

A poor game for the midfielder. Lost possession a lot. Was positive in trying to push the team forwards, but his passing accuracy was poor, so much so that he was brought off at half-time.

25-Moises Caicedo- 6

Was solid, but didn’t have his best game. Moved the ball well, but didn’t create much himself, and didn’t stand out in what was a tough midfield battle.

13-Pascal Gross- 8

Looked a frustrated figure at times in the game, but never stopped trying and eventually got his reward, hitting a sweet strike to give Brighton the lead. Showed good spirit and determination.

10-Alexis Mac Allister7

Good forward play, moved the ball quickly in attack. Was impressive in a deeper role in the second half, showing good strength and keeping the ball well.

18-Danny Welbeck- 9

Superb throughout. Link up play very good, moved the ball quickly which led to his assist for Brighton’s second. Thoroughly deserved his goal, heading in Brighton’s third, reward for his good play throughout. Brighton will be keen to see him extend his stay.

Substitutes:

9-Neal Maupay- 6

Good start to the first half, a neat dummy, and then latched onto a loose ball in the box to fire towards goal. After that he looked frustrated, never quite able to make the ball stick.

2-Tariq Lamptey- 7

A great cameo. Fantastic block inside the area, hurling himself in front of Cresswell’s goal-bound effort. Put in a perfect cross for Welbeck, whose header went straight at Fabianski, before the striker had got his goal.

12-Enock Mwepu- 6

Positive on the ball, and looked good in midfield in the little time he was on.
