Entries being sought for the Chi Half

-

There is still time to enter the Chichester Half Marathon, which returns after a year’s absence on Sunday, October 3.

The race, organised by Everyone Active, appeals to people of all abilities and is being especially welcomed by runners who have missed out on the opportunity to compete in races for 18 months because of the pandemic

This iconic south coast race has it all - a challenging and beautiful ‘multi-terrain’ half marathon, taking in the major city centre sights and landmarks as well as spectacular rural scenery in the surrounding Lavant and Goodwood countryside.

If you feel you have not been able to keep your fitness on track during lockdown for 13 miles, then the Chichester ten-miler may suit you better.

This route takes out the final climb to the summit of the Trundle and has a shorter route back to Chichester along the Lavant Valley.

If you feel ten miles is too far, why not get together in a group of 3 and run the Chichester half marathon relay. Persuade your friends, family or workmates to team up together. There is something for everyone – two three mile legs and one six mile leg. This has been a real highlight of race day since its inception in 2016.

Stuart Mills, contract manager at Everyone Active said: “We are delighted to once again be delivering the Chichester Half Marathon.

“The half is a beautiful run through some idyllic countryside, and is a challenge that will appeal to club and social runners alike. If you are not able to run this year, we would love to welcome you onto our team of fantastic volunteers. Email us at chichestersports.gov.uk for more details.”
