About time football fans woke to reality

-

IS it possible that all this emotional uproar of millions of citizens whose primary interest in life is watching football, could achieve a miracle, by waking them up to reality?

They have suddenly realised that world soccer is in the hands of billionaires, because their money owns it, and fans own nothing, despite the money they pay. One hesitates to be rude, but this process has been increasing for 50 years, from a more equitable situation.

(It is just possible that, since a couple of billionaires have said ‘sorry’, some fans persuade themselves that they do have real power. Nothing has changed.)

The hope is that these millions finally realise that it is they, themselves, who have delivered our nation, in every economic aspect, into the hands of these privileged individuals, by voting Conservative. What else did you think has been Conservative economic policy for 100 years, apart from ‘rule by the privileged rich’? Did you believe that Tories wanted to benefit all citizens, but found it too complicated to achieve?

There is no substantial difference in Britain between billionaire control of football and billionaire control of Britain’s economics, at the top of many corporations. There are foreign billionaires involved, but nationality makes no difference to their motivation, greed, the power of wealth concentrated in fewer hands. Other political parties have preached for a wider distribution of the nation’s wealth, but Tory voters prefer that billionaires rule us.

However, the biggest single cause of the many injustices in Britain is the number of adults who are obsessive about football, but take no thoughtful interest in politics, the responsibility of your life, for the future of our nation.
