Aerospace jobs axe plan

-

PROPOSALS have been revealed detailing plans to axe more than 70 jobs at one of Yeovil’s largest employers.

Staff at Honeywell Aerospace have been informed that redundancies are being proposed at the firm.

A letter sent to employees on July 3 states the company is proposing to make a reduction of 77 jobs across the Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil site.

Honeywell has cited a reduced demand for its products amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic as a reason for the proposals.

The letter sent to staff indicates a 30-day consultation period is planned to begin on July 13.
