Forest Live concerts postponed until 2022

-

AN outdoor concert series that was due to take place this summer has been postponed to 2022.

Organisers of Forest Live said they are “extremely disappointed” that this year’s event, which was due to feature headline performances from Keane, Rag’n’Bone Man, Jess Glynne and Madness, cannot go ahead.

The series was scheduled to take place at Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury in Gloucestershire between June 9 and 12 – just weeks before the Government plans to remove all legal limits on social contact.

“The Government’s roadmap out of lockdown has made it clear that we cannot hold our Forest Live concerts this summer,” said Forestry England in a statement.

“We are extremely disappointed, but this is the best way to keep our valued customers safe, as well as the staff, volunteers, contractors and artists that make Forest Live possible.

“We look forward to welcoming Forest Live fans to see their favourite artists performing in the nation’s forests next year.

“We would like to send our deepest apologies to everyone who was hoping to come to a Forest Live gig this summer.

“We can’t wait to experience the best live music in our beautiful forests with you next year and thank you very much for your continued support.”

All Forest Live 2021 headline acts have been able to reschedule their shows and will be performing in June 2022.

Confirmed dates are: Rag’n’Bone Man - Thursday, June 9; Keane - Friday, June 10; Madness - Saturday, June 11; Jess Glynne - Sunday, June 12.

All bookings remain valid for the 2022 dates and ticket-holders will be contacted by the retailers they bought them from.

Forest Live is an outdoor live music series that introduces forests to new audiences in unique, natural woodland arenas around the country.

More than 1.9 million people have attended a Forest Live gig in the past 20 years, supporting the nation’s forests through ticket sales.
