Who’ll be dining out on culinary success?

Three professional pairs from Yorkshire go head to head

IT’S all about kitchen friction and secret scoring as this cult comedy cook-off show goes professional.

For the first time, actual proper chefs will battle it out against each other to win a measly £1,000, but plenty of hometown glory.

The show celebrates the wonderful variety of restaurants and the colourful characters who work in them across the UK.

And don’t worry, it’s still as cut-throat as the original editions, plus it’s all worth it for the relentlessly sarcastic voiceover from Dave Lamb.

In each episode, three local restaurant duos go head-to-head as they take it in turns to host the others for a three-course dinner.

At the end of each meal, the visiting chefs score their host’s dinner out of 20, with the highest scorers overall scooping the prize.

First to host are purveyors of

Kat and Sharon prepare for the grand opening of Peggy’s and despite having been sacked, Sam (below) orders the staff around. Seeing an opportunity, Kat and Sharon leave Sam alone with a long list of stuff to sort out.

Ash refuses to give in to Suki’s orders to work at the new GP surgery with Nina – she’s decided she’s moving to Canada.

After talking to

Dotty, Bernie tells a heartbroken Rainie that she can have Roland but only if she leaves Stuart. posh nosh, chef/owner Ben and front of house Jo, from intimate Yorkshire restaurant, The Barn. A love-inspired menu includes Mr Jam Roly-Poly Man. Make of that what you will.

Second hosts, chef Brian and his business partner and other half Lisa, hope that their eclectic menu of French classics and a platter of street food at Disco Kitchen in Halifax will impress their guests.

For the final night, it’s the turn of Scandi-inspired restaurant Fint, in Leeds, as owner and chef Simon and his manager Sakina put on a spread for their guests.

But will some of their quirky vegan alternatives prove too leftfield for the others?

Expect stunning cooking, hilarious hosting and no shortage of drama.
