When baby Evan gets a bruise on his leg, Dawn and Billy are concerned – but they have no idea of the nightmare they will soon be living.

Dawn and Billy are reeling, and Dawn is advised not to feed Evan as he must remain nil by mouth until he’s had the biopsy. She struggles to soothe the baby, and Billy returns home choked up as he tells Dawn’s father Will and Kim that Evan may have an infection, autoimmune disease or leukaemia.

Will and Kim rush to the hospital just as Evan is being taken for his biopsy. e doctor later con rms that Evan has a form of leukaemia, and Dawn buckles as her worst fears are realised. Will Evan be able to make a full recovery?

In prison, Roy is convinced there’s something he has forgotten about Lauren that could help his case.

Sick with worry, he racks his brains to no avail and there is concern when he’s found collapsed on the oor of the prison cell. Nina thinks staging a reconstruc­tion of Lauren’s last movements might help.

While in hospital, Mary encourages Roy to continue piecing together the informatio­n, but something else springs to his mind – if they can

nd out where Lauren’s necklace came from, they may be able to identify her mystery boyfriend.

Amy invites Paul onto her radio show to speak about living with MND and dealing with the kind of issues that disabled people face every day. It’s overheard by his and Gemma’s dad Denny, who then looks them up – to Bernie’s horror. But there are soon other concerns after Paul is found semi-conscious following a coughing t.

Yolande is having a crisis of faith as we join events in the Square this week, reacting badly when Levi mentions her absence at prayer group.

She takes refuge in the laundrette where Jean gives her food for thought. Before long Yolande decides she wants to plan a baptism for Jordan.

Chelsea initially couldn’t be less pleased, insisting Yolande stay out of the matter. But Denise and Patrick are on hand to give her some perspectiv­e.
