Leanne should push to dissolve Assembly

- Mr R Clarke Marshfield, Cardiff

SHE’S a self-centred idealist who has been smelling too many daffodils and eating too many leeks, which must have confused her brain.

Either that or she is prepared to ignore the fact that the people of Wales overwhelmingly voted for Brexit.

Because Nicola Sturgeon is proposing to call another referendum to leave the UK Leanne Wood is suggesting Wales should also consider its position. Doesn’t she know the meaning of democracy?

I would point out to her and all of the whingers that before we became part of the European club Wales and the rest of the then-Great Britain manufactured products and sold them worldwide without being dictated to.

The only nation to greatly benefit from this union is Germany. Slowly everything has been eroded and now they’re trying to take over our stock exchange.

Stop thinking negatively, be positive, get behind what the majority of the nation voted for. All Ms Wood has to offer is to go on about subsidies. We, the people of Wales, want more than just being lap dogs of Europe.

All Assembly Members should be getting behind what the people of Wales voted for.

If Leanne Wood wants to do the right thing for Wales she should be campaigning to dissolve the unaffordable unnecessary Welsh Assembly.

The money it wastes should be going directly on services that are underfunded, particularly the health service, which is in a critical shutdown position.

So, Leanne, if you want to be an attention-seeker make it a worthwhile and honest reason; make this your campaign.
