Development charity moves its HQ to Cardiff
UNITED Purpose, an international development organisation based in Hereford, is moving its global headquarters to Cardiff following a deal secured by JLL and Emanuel Jones.
Joint agents JLL and Emanuel Jones, acting on behalf of landlord Chaldean Properties, have agreed the letting of the fourth floor, totalling 3,545 sq ft, at 14 Cathedral Road to United Purpose, following the refurbishment of the building.
United Purpose joins existing occupiers Breast Cancer Care and HLM Architects.
United Purpose global chief executive Kathryn Llewellyn said: “Our move to Cardiff is a really exciting opportunity to collaborate with the Welsh Government, whose commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals ... showcases a nation with an international vision.
Jennie Howells, surveyor at JLL in Cardiff, added: “The refurbishment of this building provides occupiers with good-quality grade B office accommodation, of which there is currently a shortage in the city centre. Due to the high standard of refurbishment, we expect there to be strong demand for this building, especially from charity occupiers because of the building’s VAT exemption status.’’
JLL and Emanuel Jones are continuing to market the two remaining suites on the ground and first floor level, offering between 2,180 sq ft and 4,580 sq ft.
