Store red-faced in pound slot slip-up

GUESS which Welsh store can’t take the new £1 coins in its trolleys? Poundland.

The nearest Poundland store to the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, south Wales, is apologising to customers who try to use the new 12-sided coin in their trolleys.

The Talbot Green store has not yet adapted its trolleys to accept the new, but a spokesman said the matter is in hand.
