Work-based learning under the spotlight at conference
MORE than 200 delegates from across Wales will gather in Cardiff today for the inaugural teaching, learning and assessment conference organised for work-based learning practitioners.
The National Training Federation Wales conference will examine professional development. Minister for Skills and Science Julie James will deliver the keynote address, while Mark Evans from Estyn will look at effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
Kelly Edwards, NTfW head of work-based learning quality, said the gathering showed the importance of work-based learning practitioners and vocational education.
She said: “[This year] will provide key opportunities for the work-based learning sector. Registration with the Education Workforce Council on April 1 will offer professional recognition for practitioners across the work-based learning Wales.”
