HWM proudly accepts Queen’s award for its PermaNET+ water system
HWM, a utility monitoring company based in Cwmbran is a proud winner of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, 2017. The company is among a number of businesses which have been awarded accolades by the Queen on her birthday.
HWM has won the Queen’s Award for its PermaNET+ system, that constantly monitors a water network to detect any leaks that occur. This system significantly reduces both the size and impact of leaks, as it can detect a problem as soon as it occurs. This reduces damage to the network and saves water.
Rob Fish, managing director of HWM, said: “This award is a result of a fantastic team effort from all our staff. We are delighted, and proud, to be able to design a product that will save our customers time and money.”
HWM designs and manufactures monitoring and telemetry equipment for water, wastewater and gas networks, together with telemetry AMR and facilities optimisation products.
HWM’s primary focus for more than 30 years has been clean water and network distribution system monitoring, however in the last few years it has expanded into new sectors which include gas, water and electricity-meter consumption, gas network monitoring and sewer, river and flood monitoring. Its solutions have had a significant impact in helping customers save time, effort, natural resources, energy and cost.
Now in its 51st year, the Queen’s Awards are the UK’s most prestigious industry accolade, celebrating and encouraging business excellence in the UK. This respected award is only given to companies who are outstanding in their field, with a strong performance over a number of years.
Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise means HWM can use the official emblem on all publications for five years, showcasing the best of British business.
