Governments stole our life savings

-

OUR Prime Minister Theresa May wants to put an end to criminals, the likes of the Philip Greens in our country who steal pension money from workers for their own financial gain. Yet there are no bigger criminals in our country than our own Prime Minister and her rag bag Government, who between them and the previous Labour Government, have stolen up to £250bn, from occupational pension schemes since 1997, leaving the former ASW steel workers (Cardiff) their families and thousand of other hard working families to an old age of possible poverty and uncertainty.

In opposition Mrs May, the current Chancellor, many of the current cabinet and Conservatives MPs condemned Labour at every opportunity, for Gordon Brown’s unfair tax raid on occupational pensions, and promised to reverse this unfair tax if the Conservatives attained power. It was a monumental lie to buy votes, and our Prime Minister was a major player in this lie, being Shadow Works and Pensions Minister at the time.

So before waging a war on the Philip Greens of our country Mrs May, put your own house in order, and honour the pension promises.

Mrs May you and your Government make the Philip Greens of our country look like petty thieves.

He was wrong and should have his knighthood taken away, he stole £400m. Your Government and the previous Labour Government stole £250bn. You should be ashamed of the lies you told, Mrs May you are no St Theresa, and never will be until you finally end the biggest social injustice this country has ever known, the robbing of workers’ life savings (pensions).

We won’t hold our breath as when in Government politicians get great pleasure in treating people as fools. You are a total disgrace. John Benson Dinas Powys
