Llandeilo antiques and vintage monthly fair set to continue
DERWEN have been running antique fairs for over 17 years and have now taken over the monthly antiques and vintage fair at the Civic Hall Llandeilo.
The next fair will held at the Civic Hall on Saturday, June 3. Following on from their huge success with the launch seven years ago of their flag ship events in the National Botanic Gardens near Carmarthen, it was decided that Derwen Fairs would carry on the well established Llandeilo fair.
This successful fair will be held on the first Saturday of each month (with the exception of January and February) and can be located in the heart of the busy town of Llandeilo, close to the main car park.
Here you will find a bustling, vibrant fair with lots of antiques and vintage items at affordable prices. Moving with the times Derwen have included a vintage element to the fair. The Vintage era spanned two world wars and the fashion coming out of the era was both chic and stylish
From the roaring 20’s to the fabulous 40’s fashion designers were inspired and we can see how modern generation have been inspired by vintage trends, using the style in their own individual way.
The theme for the next fair will be harping back to the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s with stands showcasing stylish ladies and men’s fashion.
The emphasis will be on affordable vintage clothing and accessories.
There will also be vintage collections of home furnishings mixed in with vintage-inspired jewellery.
The fair will have a good range of quality antiques from silver and gold watches to Welsh textiles including the much sought after Welsh blankets.
There will be displays of toys and clothes, kitchenalia, a fine collection of pewter, furniture, militaria, and an impressive display of books.
Homemade snacks and refreshments will be available at the fair. Doors open at 10am and close at 4pm. Admission is just £1.
