- Chris Pyke Reporter chris.pyke@walesonline.co.uk

The WalesOnline 35 Under 35 project is looking for its class of 2017. The annual list brings together 70 businessmen and women, 35 for each gender, to highlight the exceptional young talent Wales has to offer.

If you, a friend, partner or colleague deserves to be included this year then you can fill in the form online at www.walesonline.co.uk/ all-about/35-under-35.

The cut-off date is July 2, so entrants needs to be 35 or under on that date. They will also need to be either from Wales and can be based anywhere in the world, or they need to be based in Wales and be from anywhere in the world.

WalesOnline and Western Mail business editor Sion Barry said: “The WalesOnline 35 under 35 is a great platform to showcase the rising stars in the Welsh economy, across the private, public, education and third sectors.

“Since its launch in 2014 many of those who have made the lists, for both men and women, have gone on to achieve even greater success.

“For any economy to thrive it needs a constant stream of young talent coming through, to drive innovation and ambitious across a wide range of sectors.

“And I have no doubt that this year’s WalesOnline 35 Under 35, will again highlight that the future is very bright for Wales plc.”

Emily Howarth, international licensing manager at Europe’s leading manufacturer of character and branded confectionery, Bon Bon Buddies, said: “To be celebrated alongside a raft of talented business women in last year’s 35 Under 35 list was a complete honour.

“It was rewarding to see the hard work that I put into my role being recognised. It is this kind of acknowledgement that plays a vital role in inspiring future generations to excel in business, and I look forward to seeing who will be named in this year’s list.”

Ed Barnett, managing director Copier Mate and operations director Ignite Cardiff, said: “It’s nice to get a pat on the back every now and then, but more importantly, it’s a great group of people to be associated with.”

The WalesOnline 35 Under 35 class of 2017 will be revealed in late July.
